- People come from all over to India to marvel at the handcrafted bamboo products of Thrikkaipetta village in Kerala, which is now on the global eco-tourism map thanks to Sivarajan T Sreelatha and their organisation Uravu Indigenous Science and Technology Study Centre
- Officially known as the ‘Heritage Village of Bamboo’, Thrikkaipetta is situated atop Manukkunu Hills. The village is an ornithologist’s paradise, with an abundance of 140 bird species and plantations like areca nut, coffee, pepper, tea and more.
- The non-profit organisation launched its operations by training eight families, and presently, close to 200 families are directly earning through Uravu. From weaving baskets to building houses from bamboo, the upward trajectory of this village is praiseworthy

- Based in Goa, Coffeeza aims to make gourmet-style accessible at home. It offers coffee blend capsules and coffee machines. The startup plans to diversify the coffee blends and expand to the US this year.
- After reaching out to various coffee-producing companies and undertaking a series of tastings, the entrepreneur partnered with select producers across Europe and China who could produce the right blend for Indian taste palate. He zeroed on three regular blends from Italy – Intenso, Classico, and Decaf. Coffeeza also tied up with a factory in China to produce coffee machines.
- Today, Rahul says that Coffeeza is a premium brand of single-serve coffee capsules, machines, and accessories that allows customers to indulge in beverages like Espresso, Cappuccino, and Latte.

- पौधों के लिए खाद बनाता हूं और साथ ही, कई बार अपने कुछ साथियों के साथ मिलकर पौधरोपण भी करता हूं। अब तो नगर निगम वाले भी लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए मुझे बुलाते हैं
- किसी भी चीज़ को अपने घर से वेस्ट नहीं जाने देता हूं। इस कारण हमारे घर का कचरा काफी कम हुआ है। क्योंकि सूखे कचरे में भी मैं कोशिश करता हूं कि प्लास्टिक जितना कम हो उतना अंदर आए। यदि उसमें पॉलिथीन या रैपर मिल जाता है, तो उनसे मैं इको ब्रिक बनाता हूं। अब तक मैं 40-50 इको ब्रिक बना चुका हूं

- मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना शहर में 20 साल तक रिक्शा चलाने वाले 50 वर्षीय गोविंद मंडल का परिवार अब खुशहाल है। इंटीग्रेटेड फार्मिंग से उनकी जिंदगी में यह बदलाव आया है। अब दूसरे किसान भी खेती का यह फायदेमंद तरीका अपना रहे हैं।
- मुर्गियों के अलावा बतख भी पाल रखी हैं। पास ही तालाब की तरफ इशारा करते हुए कहा कि देखिए पानी में तैर रही हैं। तालाब में मछली पालते हैं, जिसमें 7 किलोग्राम वजन तक की मछलियां हैं। इन मछलियों से उनको अतिरिक्त आय हो जाती है।
- 2016-17 में मनरेगा योजना से खेत तालाब बनने के बाद से आमदनी और बढ़ गई है। उसने बताया कि तालाब में देशी रोहू, कतला मछली हैं जिनका बीज मछली विभाग से लिया था। मुर्गियों के बीट का उपयोग तालाब में मछलियों के चारे के रूप में करते हैं। साल में उन्हें खेती से 2.5 लाख से 3 लाख रुपये तक की आय हो जाती है। मुर्गियों उनके अंडों तथा मछली से अतिरिक्त आय भी होती है।

- Founded in 2019, Mumbai-based Near.Store set out to enhance India’s mom-and-pop stores by helping them make their offline inventory digitally searchable and discoverable.
- "Even though ecommerce had gained acceptance and significance in the Indian markets, it was interesting to see that the 17 million ‘mom-and-pop’ shops continued to control over 80 percent of the market share in the consumer goods sector. We saw a latent opportunity in creating a hyperlocal tech solution that could help shop owners use their inherent advantage of proximity to the customers in further consolidating their business," says Ashish.
- Once the Near.Store dongle is connected, the device uploads all products that the shop sells onto a dedicated online store. This doesn’t require any additional software installation, electricity, Wi-Fi, or entering any data manually.

- Puli Raju from Telangana is a government school teacher, who has worked for over two decades with families of farmer suicide victims to get them their rightful compensation, financial aid, mental support, and more Ashok a journalist suggested they prepare a record to identify the reasons under which farmers were taking their own lives.
- Raju began work in 2002, and meticulously documented such incidents in his region. He traced the victims and visited the aggrieved families to offer them support by whatever means he could.
- Raju has reached 2,500 households across the state to offer mental, psychological and financial support to bereaved families.

- Pacific Gaming was conceptualised as a gaming studio when Arvind Balakrishna and Archit Narayan realised the need to create a one-stop gaming platform. They theorised that by introducing the ‘Instant Cashout’ feature, they could enable users to claim their winnings into their accounts within 60 seconds, all year round. While existing operators used to process winnings within three to six days, they were able to reduce this wait time drastically, which attracted many users.

- बीएड पास अपर्णा पिछले 3-4 सालों से बेकार पड़ी और फेंकी गई काँच की बोतलों को अपसाइकिल करके खूबसूरत और अनोखे होम डेकॉर प्रोडक्ट्स बना रही हैं। वह जो भी क्रॉफ्ट आइटम बनाती हैं, उसके लिए कोई वेस्ट बोतल ही इस्तेमाल करती हैं। अपसायकल्ड क्रॉफ्ट के प्रति अपने प्यार के चलते उन्होंने पिछले साल एक झील की सफाई भी करवा दी।
- अपर्णा ने शौक-शौक में आर्ट एंड क्रॉफ्ट शुरू किया और फिर जब उनका हुनर निखरता गया तो उन्हें ऑर्डर भी मिलने लगे। तरह-तरह के क्रॉफ्ट ट्राई करने वाली अपर्णा वेस्ट काँच की बोतलों को अपसायकल कर खूबसूरत रूप भी देने लगी। वह मन्रोतुरुत्तु में रहती हैं जो कोल्लम से थोड़ा दूर है और एक टूरिस्ट प्लेस है।
- अपर्णा अंत में बस इतना कहती हैं कि त्यौहारों पर हम तरह-तरह के प्लास्टिक डेकॉर का इस्तेमाल करके सिर्फ अपने घर का वेस्ट बढ़ाते हैं। इससे अच्छा है कि हम थोड़ा-सा वक़्त निकालें और खुद कुछ करने की कोशिश करें। कुछ ऐसा जिससे कि पर्यावरण भी सुरक्षित रहे और हमारा हुनर भी निखरे।
